Welcome to the 'Distance Learning Students' Guide.
Part time and distance learning students have the same borrowing privileges as full-time students, and are subject to the same penalties for late return. Please refer to the areas on borrowing and renewing items.
In addition, SRUC library provides a postal loans service for students unable to visit the library in person.
Items may be posted out to students registered on distance learning courses. There is no charge for this service. However, the borrower is responsible for the cost of returning the item. Please ensure you obtain a receipt from the post office as proof of postage.
Contact your local campus library to request a postal loan.
Some key items for distance learning courses may only be available for a two-week loan. A number of items are limited to three days, overnight or reference only and will therefore due to geographical location be unavailable to some students. Journal issues cannot be borrowed.
