Guide: Staff Guide to Reading Lists: Getting Started

Introduction

Campus Library Staff  will create and update your lists if you provide details of the materials,  the structure , any notes and digitisations you wish to make.

Once the list is set up Library Staff can make updates for you or alternatively we can give you editing rights to let you make updates yourself.

This guide will take you through accessing reading lists, adding resources and notes to your list and requesting digitisations from reading lists.

Step 1: Logging On

To get access to the reading list software, contact your Campus Staff and we will set you up in the system.

You will receive an invitation to be added to the reading list software.

On accepting the invitation, you will be able go to the reading list portal and login using your usual SRUC user name and password.

Step 2: Adding the Bookmarking Button to your browser

Before you can start adding items to your list, you need to install the Bookmark Button  on your browser.  The button is used to capture resources from the web including books and articles to add to your reading list.

Here is a video to describe adding the button:

Step 3: Finding My Lists

You will find lists that are assigned to you  in the "My Lists" tab once you have logged in to the software.

If your list is not there please contact your Campus Library Staff.
